Ethical Issues in Product Management
Many ethical issues cart arise in product management. For example, what about a product strategy of imitation creating me-too look-alike products by copying around patents held by market leaders? What about using brand names and packages that are very similar to those of market leaders?

Is it ethical to try to convince people that minor differences among brands in a product category are meaningful? What about the ethics of intentionally designed and postponed obsolescence? Suppose a firm is test marketing a new packaged meat product. Would it be ethical for a rival to cut its price in the hope of ruining the test?

Several years ago Camel replaced its real camel with a cartoon Camel named Joe Camel. Did the firm do this to appeal to younger smokers? If so, was that an ethical action?
